Information You Submit
Search Queries
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Emails and contact-form messages may be kept long enough to answer and manage the request. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Technical Data and Cookies
Standard logs and measurement tools may collect these details when a page loads:
- Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when supplied.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure use and remember basic preferences. You can block them in your browser, though some site or partner features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
- Operate, maintain, and improve site performance.
- Send search requests to the selected partner service.
- Learn which pages visitors find useful.
- Detect errors, misuse, and technical problems.
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to jail rosters, booking sources, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, and outside search tools. Once you leave, that service's privacy policy governs.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. That processing does not occur as a Leslie County government service.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:
- Search partners that process submitted queries.
- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used. No internet-connected service is fully secure, so a breach-proof guarantee cannot be made.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use Contact Us to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
- Ask for a copy of personal data held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask for erasure where applicable law permits it.
- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies.
